Thank you Lee

Lord Jesus, thank you so much for my wonderful clients!

I am truly blessed to have such amazing people in my life.

Today I received this gift from my client Lee. She brought it back from Haiti!

I will never forget the words that she said to me today...   She ran her finger across the heart and pointed at the blooming flower and said "Mallery without you I would not be where I am today" I want to thank you from my heart, I love you!  She is so sweet and genuine.

On the back it says Haiti and all the proceeds go to a great ministry!

God, I love you and ask that you continue to bless Lee! She has such a heart for you!

Thank you for giving me another day to serve you. Amen!

Laundromat

Hello All,

Yes, I waited 3 weeks again to do laundry. I will really appreciate having a washer and dryer in the future. Amen!  :) The many things we can take for granted.

I make this a very positive experience and always pray that God uses me every time I step foot into the laundromat! Some of you may know from my past stories that I always have a wow God moment after spending 3 hours doing laundry. LOL!

Tonight, I was very hyper (acting silly) and with said I found a little child to play hide and seek with. His mom and gram were with him, they were so excited that he had a friend to play with. I am a kid at heart so I was pretty PUMPED as well. We laughed and I chased him around the place.. His cute little cheeks were all red and he was just the highlight of my night.

I know all of you can totally relate to this, especially if you have little ones. It's that moment when they look at you right into your eyes with such JOY. When they laugh so hard and your heart just opens up SO wide.  You just want to hug them, squeeze so tightly and stay in that moment forever.

That is exactly how I felt UNTIL he was running at full speed and smacked his head right off of the washer door. OH MY GOODNESS. He had no shoes on (only socks) and had fallen right before this incident. I asked if he was OK. He said YEP with a big smile and got back up to run RIGHT into the washer. When I say full speed I mean fast, fast, fast! He immediately started screaming at the top of his lungs.. I could feel his pain, I wanted to cry for him! His mom picked him right up, love that mother instinct.

Does this sound like you? Jesus is our father and loves us so much. He wants the absolute best for us. We sometimes are running full speed towards something WE want so badly.  We trip up because what we are running towards isn't his will. The Holy Spirit speaks to us and we don't listen.. What ends up happening? SMACK IN THE FACE, the big bruise! Come on, give me an amen. I know you all have been at this point in your life before!  You think everything is going exactly according to Gods will and BAM it all changes in one moment, one second, one day or even less than a second...

The AWESOME news is that God is redirecting you for a reason. He knows what is next, it's even better than you could have EVER imagined. The bruise won't last, it will heal. Amen! He makes beautiful things out of us!

Yes, I know your thinking is little man OK? He was fine and in good spirit before leaving the Laundromat. I told his mom and gram, I will be praying for him.

This scripture came to my mind "Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is." (Ephesians 5:17)

+ We sometimes want something so much we try and fit it into his plan for our lives. Instead of surrendering and following his will. Thank YOU Jesus for giving me another day to serve you. I love you!  Rest well everyone. Praying this encourages and helps you all to step into a new level of faith!

"Give us today our daily bread." Matthew 6:11 (NIV)
As I sat on the beach enjoying the sunrise I watched a few seagulls wander aimlessly, looking lost and confused. I wondered why there were so few, considering the normal flocks that swarm overhead filling the air with screeching cries.
Then I realized they had no reason to be on the beach, much less to be excited or active. There were no people around to generate crumbs.
I'm pretty sure seagulls can smell potato chip crumbs a mile away. They stay at a distance until they think someone has something they want. Then they come running, or should I say dive bombing. Even if no birds are in sight, one tiny crumb falls on the sand and suddenly dozens of seagulls swoop down out of nowhere.
Memories of hungry seagulls interrupting our picnics at the beach made me chuckle until I felt God whisper to my spirit:Sometimes Tracie, you are just like those seagulls.
In Matthew 6, Jesus shares with His disciples how to pray, in what is commonly referred to as the Lord's Prayer.
Today's key verse is taken from the middle of the Lord's Prayer. In it Jesus reminds His disciples to stay in close union with Him through prayer, because He knows they need the spiritual nourishment and physical necessities only He can provide. Jesus calls His disciples to seek Him and trust His provision for their daily needs.
Unfortunately, there are times I don't follow this wisdom and instruction. I may go days or weeks, aimlessly wandering like those seagulls on a deserted beach — flying through my tasks and routines, without consciously seeking God.
But as soon as something happens that makes me mad, sad, worried, frustrated, discouraged, or stressed, I fly straight to God. Swooping in out of nowhere, I dive bomb into His presence. Expectantly, I wait for Him to give me a profound thought or an answer to prayer. In essence, to toss me some crumbs of spiritual encouragement.
Unlike a seagull who seeks temporary satisfaction from random crumbs, I want to be consumed with a spiritual hunger that's never satisfied. A hunger that pains me if I fail to get a daily portion of God's wisdom, love and guidance. A hunger that when met, replaces my discouragement, worry and stress.
I don't want to live with a seagull mentality, being satisfied with mere crumbs. Instead I want to enjoy the fullness of God's presence and a constant supply of His Word each and every day. What about you?
Dear Lord, forgive me for not seeking You daily. I ask for Your physical provision and spiritual nourishment to get me through every day. Help me develop an insatiable desire for Your Word and to spend time with You in prayer. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Jean & Carol

Hi Peeps! :)

This is a really funny story... I hope it puts a bright big smile on your face.

I opened up my mail box today to see it was extremely full... I think it's been like 7 days since I checked it.

I then came across a weird package, it looked like pictures. I immediately opened it wondering who it could possibly be from???? Hmm...

MY GOODNESS! NO WAY! My stomach was hurting I was laughing so hard!  They were from my dear sister Carol. I went to see Beth Moore in Reading a few months ago. Don't know if you remember me posting this on Face-book, it said something along the lines of "these two women kidnapped me"
(as a joke) They really built my ego up telling me how beautiful I was. How thoughtful and sweet to print and send me these pics.

"Christ beauty is shared to all those who have union with him. Washed in his blood, rooted with his righteousness and adorned with his graces. Every believer is made beautiful through his beauty."

On every picture she wrote little notes. They were all different and very uplifting. The one she wrote "look at the legs on you."  I'm so glad I decided to stay up and spend time with these two wonderful ladies. I remember being so exhausted from pulling an all night-er.. God gave me the strength.
Thanks Carol and Jean, I love surprises!

Oh what a beautiful savior is Jesus Christ? I am not talking about physical beauty but an amazing spiritual beauty that makes all other beauties fade.  When he is known lives are changed! When his love is felt, hearts are mended. When beauty is seen, eyes are opened to truth.

YWAM Encounter performance

I'm so glad I made the decision to go and see YWAM Boston encounter in action. This was my second time and to be honest, I don't think I could ever get tired of watching it.

They all did such a wonderful job! My prayers go out to everyone in YWAM that God will continue to use all of them and they will be blessed more than they could ever dream or imagine. Amen!

Beautiful women of faith with precious, sweet, cute little Dustin <3

I'll never forget Paula!  Her prayers are so heartfelt and to top it off she remembered everything she prayed for us about. She's a smart young girl that is on FIRE for the Lord.  :)

Tonight was truly a blessing, thank you Lord for giving us all another day to serve you!

Pitcairn 5k Nov 3, 2012

Hey all,

There are many reasons to stay active... Right? Let's face it not all of us want to exercise? Some enjoy walking and doing light weights while others enjoy getting a really hard/intense workout in!

The key is to burn more calories and eat healthier foods.. ;) That way you will have more energy and enjoy the results from your workout plan!  I know what your thinking, if it were that simple...

My advice try new things, make them fun, find an accountability partner or friend to team up with. Running is not my favorite sport but, I have to say I am enjoying it more and more as time goes on. I've learned so much about myself, meet awesome people, always feel great after finishing the race and training always pays off. The most important is how to glorify the Lord? Thinking about getting a shirt that says RUN4JESUS on the back with my website info at the bottom www.Malleryinspiredtraining.com   :)

I want to share with you a story from today. I woke up feeling really unmotivated and not feeling it. Just ready to crawl back into my sheets and say wake me up after the run. I know you all have been there before? Correct, maybe it's before work or a workout?
Well, I didn't because stay in bed and here are some of the reasons..

#1 I had an accountability partner that said I will be at your place at 8:30 a.m on the dot.

#2. I wanted to be at this race for a dear friend, since it was his last race before his surgery.

#3. I wanted to get a good workout in..

Well, God had other plans, as he always does!

We arrived at the race about an hour early, when we walked in they had my # ready for me. IT WAS 143. I was totally pumped. I had been wanting that number for years. You know when people had pagers back in the day? We would page and it would have our phone number and behind it 143 meaning I LOVE YOU!  I had to post this on Twitter and let you all know it's been years and never once did I have this special running number. A thought dawned on me and that was the Lord speaking into my heart saying "I love you" I love you,  more than you know Mallery!

I warmed up, said a prayer for everyone and started the 5k. I was feeling a bit down and NOT into the run but pushed through it. I knew that we would all cool down and that was really what I was looking forward to.. Lol.

So after our 3 mile cool down I went back in for my award. I walked up to the guy and he said your name, I told him Mallery Schaffer. He goes "you cannot get an award because you didn't do as good as you did last year" That was like a dagger to my heart. I said back to him very nicely "my prize is actually eternal, I run for the Lord, no problem." He said "I am just kidding and gave me the mug with a 1st place (age group) ribbon on it."  I didn't do as well as last year and I knew that but, I also realize what's important and it's not the metal. I smiled and walked away.

Then about 10 min later he comes walking back up to me and asked me "are you a believer." I said yes born again and run for Jesus. He smiled and started talking to me about his walk with the Lord. I was so happy to hear his story. He told me he was saved and that he reads the bible. I encouraged him and said that was awesome! Wow, what a blessing to hear his testimony. That was Gods plan for this race, to hear how he is working in and through my fellow brother. Lord, I pray for Mike and really ask that you continue to strengthen his love for you.
Don and Larry's last race of the year.. prayers will be going out for them both!

The reason I share this story with you is because it refers to scripture John 13:34-35  "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.  By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Amen, God bless you all. John 13:34-35 LOVE ONE ANOTHER! He loves us more than we can even imagine and wants us to be full of energy and healthy. I didn't enjoy running but now I changed it up, made it fun. It's not about me, it's about HIM! The one who created me.

Lord, thank you for giving me another day to glorify you!
Good job friends! You are loved. Nite, sweet dreams.

Romans 12:12

Hi. Hi. Hi. Day # 3. I'm becoming a good blogger. Makes me smile! :) I can do this...

Today, I woke up knowing that God has given me another day to serve him. I had a great big smile on my face because I had not planned anything for today but I knew It was going to be filled with his love.. My exact prayer to him was "Lord I trust your plan for my day"  I really wanted God to guide my every step.

I then posted this on FB Romans 12:12 – "rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer."

1. I rejoiced in hope today knowing that Christ has full control of my life.

2. Patient in Tribulation: In life we face many hard times and it breaks our hearts to pieces!  We don't understand and sometimes question everything! This gives us the opportunity to dig into his word and grow our faith in Jesus! I tell myself this all the time "Mallery be patient with yourself"  God will use your hurt to help encourage someone in the future.

3. “continue steadfastly” comes from an original word that means to be diligent or earnest towards a goal. Sometimes it is translated as “being devoted to” or to be “constant in”. Pray CONSTANTLY, I remember the first time I asked Jesus to come into my life. This was the best decision I have EVER made. You don't have to pray out load all the time, today I prayed more than I can count and most were in my head silently. He hears our hears and prayers... He will answer in his timing!

+  All three of these challenging phrases point to Christ. He is the source of our hope, the reason for our joy, the strength in our tribulations, the model for our patience, and the audience of our prayers.

Now, back to my day today. . .

He blew me away, like he always does!  I tried so many new things today! I encourage you to step outside of your normal routine and let God do the rest... Today was awesome!

#1. I went to the tailor to hem my jeans (great new experience) I even got a hanger with shiny plastic over it. I asked the lady "do I get the hanger too" Yep, true story.
#2. Checked out a new little organic store next to the tailor shop "All gluten free" Picked up a couple new protein bars"
#3. Had veggie homemade hummus and pumpkin soup (Thanks to my lovely friends/clients) Yum!
#4. Donated lots of old clothes, purses, shoes, movies, books and DVD's to the Good Will
#5. Took Gram to ALDI's to grocery shop (this would be on the patience prayer) My cousin Ty has more energy than any kid I know. I truly prayed a million times asking God to show me how to handle him with wisdom and love. ;)

Today was a day that I had not planned anything and let the Lord do his work. He already had everything mapped out. I lost count in my head of  how many times I told someone God Bless you or have a blessed evening...  20 +  Even the not so nice gentleman at the toll.

What an amazing day I had!!! Words can't express how thankful I am for all my friends/family...

The conclusion of this post is ROMANS 12:12  "HOPE, PATIENCE, PRAYER"

Love you all! So much! So much! So much!

Heading to bed, have a race at 10 a.m tomorrow. Big day! Marathon next Sat.. Yahoo!!
Will post pics, praying for lots of pups to love on! :) :) :)
