I went to visit the Pittsburgh base about 5/6 months ago and ever since I've been thinking about going back to get more details.. I heard so many amazing things about DTS and how the program has really changed peoples lives.
God really tugged on my heart a few weeks ago and said go reach out, get more involved, why are you not mingling with this great ministry. My first reaction was who do I contact? I don't want them to think I am weird. Very briefly I once met some of the people. In life is this not so true, fear creeps in and we get nervous about what people might think? We let that cripple our action to reach out. My thoughts were what if they don't write back, what if God calls me to full time ministry, am I called to volunteer my gifts and talents (fitness) with YWAM.. With lots of prayer God said to me, why are you planning what I already have done for you? Don't question me, listen to me. I was like wow Lord this is really true, why am I questioning what you confirmed?
So, I acted on Gods leading and wouldn't you know sweet Melissa agreed to have lunch with me
(she is one of the many I met about 5months back) and I told her about my interest in YWAM. We talked for hours and I was truly blown away by her faith. She moved here from Cali. OK CALIFORNIA! Tell me that doesn't take some courage, yes not to mention the nice weather. Her exact words "This is where God has called me and I love Pittsburgh." I said to her " I admire what you have done for the Lord, went from a doing hair in CALI to full time ministry." SHE IS A LIFE CHANGER It took lots faith to make that leap! She is still on staff at YWAM years later. What a great testimony. I am so blessed that God brought her into my life, I know he has great plans for her life and future!
Don't want to make this blog really long and I tend to go on and on forever. I probably would if I didn't have to get up at 6 a.m tomorrow. LOL. Now onto what inspired me to posted this blog.. Tonight as I was sitting across from another wonderful Godly woman, I came to realize the Lord answered my prayers. I asked him to bring more women into my life that LOVE the Lord with EVERYTHING! Yes I can say that this girl loved JESUS! We also could have talked for hours. Her testimony of how God told her to go to YWAM at 18years old (YES I WAS SO IMPRESSED BY THIS) and she listened to his leading. He told her take that leap of faith at a young age and she was like I will follow you. She just celebrated her 10 year anniversary with YWAM. AMAZING! I just admire these two women, the Lord shines in and through them both! They are beautiful inside as well as out. They are changing lives all over the world! Praise God!

I am so thankful I listened to the Lord and stepped out to contact YWAM, I will be volunteering, learning and growing my faith! I am giving the Lord the rest to figure out.
I know I haven't been blogging much lately and I keep saying, yea I'll start posting.. Tomorrow comes and goes and time goes by! I have to be honest my new excuses is getting old, that is I have to switch to word press. I'm going to work on doing that this weekend and I am so determined to be a good blog poster.
