Merry Christmas

Christmas is a time of opening out hearts to the love and joy that fills the season with a sense of wonder and hope. It's a time of reflection, too, on what God did when he send his son to us.

The night of the Saviour's birth was truly the beginning of hope- it was the start of our journey to a place of complete forgiveness, and an eternal home with God. If Jesus had not come to live among us, experience the challenges of life as we do, and still remain a perfect sacrifice our path to God would be impossible.

This is the true miracle we celebrate... a baby born to give his life so that we, too, can live forever. The most beautiful part of this story is the reason he came because that reason is YOU.

May you have a wonderful Christmas in God's great love for you. Every blessing be yours in ABUNDANCE.

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only son into the world that we might live through him 1 John 4:9

Merry Christmas, I love you!

What If?

Do you need a second chance? What if you lived for years thinking that you were happy and realized that you didn’t even know what happy meant?  Do you need to examine what your living for?  Are you following Gods plan for your life?
I had to ask myself after watching this movie - Mallery are you happy with your life right now (25 years old, single, personal trainer, no kids and on fire for Jesus)  Here is what came to my mind right away, I can do all things threw Christ, my past is washed away, I am a new person. I do not know what is in the future and at times I really do want him to answer what my future holds but, FAITH IS BELIEVING IN THE UNSEEN. . . Life goes by like a vapor and I know what he has done in my life and I never want to look back and say God I should have or what if I did followed your plan, what would my life look like? I pray every day that he will give me his will for my life and to let me fulfill my ultimate purpose. So, the answer to this question is yes I am very happy because:

 # 1 I have accepted the Lord into my heart and I have trust in him that he will lead me.
I’m so thankful for family, mentors, bible believing churches, ministries, spiritual brothers/sisters and movies like What if to help us realize that if we do get off path that God is no respecter of persons and he hears our prayers. We were put on this earth for a reason, we all have a purpose to fulfill God the father.  I cry out and thank him for what he has done in my life. Don't let your life go by and keep asking what if I followed your plan Lord. Do it now, it's not to late.

I pray that you all have a wonderful Christmas weekend and God showers blessing's over you and your family.

Dedication: Lost 7.5 inches overall and feel amazing! :)

I've decided I am going to continue till Christmas Day and then it's on, Tofukey, mash potatoes, rice and fellowship with the fam. Thank you God for another day to serve you.

I'll post video tomorrow. Thanks!

Dec 13, 2008

God thank you- Read below and see the proof in how he continues to show us signs of his love.

I received tragic news on Dec 13, 2008 that my father had a massive heart attack and died in his apartment. I know now,  he is in heaven with our Lord, thank you God for healing my heart and giving me peace. NOW Keep this date Dec, 13th, in your mind...

I decided to become a member of Victory about 6 months ago but, could not commit to 3 Sunday's. This month I could and they changed it to 2 classes Sunday Dec, 4 & 11th, which worked out great... I attended the Sunday 9 a.m service and went to the class after. I learned so much and couldn't wait to become a member and start serving at my church. Today, I checked my mail and my membership packet was in there with a certificate and look at the date Dec 13, 2011. God is so good, I know like I know he is with me and will lead me every step of the way. Amen!

This is not a coincidence!  I prayed and asked him to show me a sign that this is the church he wanted me to be in. I asked him if I was meant to be a part of Victory Family that he give me a big sign. He answered that prayer, loud and clear. I love my life and pray that I can help others see the light.

Jingle Bell Run

Ran the Jingle Bell 5K this morning!

I am so thankful for my health. The only thing that gets me to the finish line is prayer and determination.

The number one reason I run is for Jesus and it's also great seeing happy faces, meeting new people and today there were pups everywhere. I wanted to stop and pet every dog I seen. I pray that one day I will have a farm of my own pets. Thanks Lord for a great day and the fun is not over yet.

* Encouraging tip for you: Start today walking 1 mile, tomorrow jog for 2 min, walk for 1 min, the next day jog for 3 min and walk for 1 min. Keep improving and before you know it you will be out there jogging with me. You will probably blow right by me, I know you have it in you. Your body is a temple, treat it like one. No excuses, go outside, get on treadmill, walk in place in your house... Don't put it off start now.

Freeze your peels - mr. stinky

Hello Everyone,

I pray you had a great day -

I know I need to post the Israel pics, I'm working on it... I promise. :)

Anyways here is a short tip my friend told me about. Well, it was after my apartment started to stink like old dirty socks, YUCK. Do not throw your peels away in less your going to the garbage can outside. FREEZE yours peals and when your ready for garbage day, take them out and toss them in the trash bag....

Yes, I learned the hard way.... Silly me!

Have a great weekend. Be back tomorrow to post about my Jingle Bell 5K. :) Say a prayer for me.

Love y'all.

PB2 or Almond butter?

Mallery's Health Tip:

This is hilarious, my friend Carol gave me PB2 about 3 months ago.  Well I looked at the label and was like man, I have to try this.. I put some in a bowl and started to add water, the PB2 turned into water and I just gave up. I put it away and started eating my almond butter from Trader Joe's. NOW- PB2 is getting popular and people are constantly taking about it, Sonny asked me the other day at the gym... Have you tried this PB2, I look at him with a serious look and said "YES" it does not work. He said "YES" it does, I said "no mine turned into water".... How funny? He mixed up some for me and I was like wow this is really good. Now, I am stuck is PB2 better than almond butter?

If you went grocery shopping with me in the past or asked about these nut butters... I go for almond butter over peanut butter every time, because of the nutritious bonus in almonds vs. peanuts. I truly love to eat them both and would enjoy having the choice to switch every once in a while from almond to peanut. So, I started to do some digging and researching... This is what I found -
http://www.fitday.com/fitness-articles/nutrition/healthy-eating/almond-butter-vs-peanut-butter.html

* Both almond butter and peanut butter can be healthy and nutritious. The determining factor rests in the actual ingredients, preservatives and preparation process of the specific brand. Almond butter is a viable alternative if you have peanut allergies. Peanut butter is generally less expensive than almond butter.

Loving the PB2, apples are the best with it! YUMMY!

Pittsburgh Tribune Review, deadline Dec 17th

Hello,

Great news!!! William from The Pittsburgh Tribune Review would like to speak with you to hear your story of how you have over come your fears of joining the gym!  If you would like to explain how your trainer (Mallery Schaffer) small facility differentiates from the larger gym atmosphere or how hiring a trainer is helpful etc. Call William 412-320-7986, it should take a few minutes... please know I so appreciate you taking your time to do this.

I will be calling him to share my testimony today as well,  how at age 18 - 20 and before that never went to the gym... I use to fear larger gyms such as
LA Fitness. I felt that most of the people in the fitness classes or at the gym were in much better shape then me and I was nervous about not knowing how to use the machine or looking stupid when my breathing picked up. If I went to walk or jog on the treadmill, I would stop before sweating because I didn't want any one to see me sweaty. I can't believe I am writing this but, I would hate to sweat, I thought it was so nasty.  I would actually hate to even walk into the door of a large gym, I normally always went with a friend. This all changed in 2008 when I came across our facility at Penn Center West, it was a much smaller gym, everyone knew everyone and they were so supportive and helpful. I loved having a trainer to help me with any questions that I had about the machines, nutrition etc. I over came my fear and would feel confident walking into any gym. Hope this helps you with your story of how you over came your fear of joining Mallery's Inspired Training and hiring me as your fitness trainer.

Food TIP for today,

Also, wanted to add my favorite food for today... Let me know how you like this Bethany... I tried  spicy tempeh today and have to say, love it. Have you tried the different kinds of tempeh, which one do you like the most? If you haven't tried it, it's so high in protein and taste so good with salads, wraps or by itself... I had it with hummus, spinach lettuce, tomatoes, vegan cheese. I have to tell you it was delicious and so healthy! Be creative, try new things, buy new books to get idea's. I love food, so today your homework go out and try tempeh, see what kind you like and message me. You are what you eat! ; )

Love y'all. I'll be back later to post my blessings!

My family & friends!

6 a.m alarm goes off, I'm so thirsty... Love my apple cider vinegar drinks from Braggs. If you haven't heard of Brags drinks, google them. They detox, energize, and help you burn fat (list could go on and on) I encourage you to purchase a bottle and try it. I love the grape but, they have all flavors.

OH OPPS, I got off track and just love my braggs had to tell you about a health tip for now..

 My day gets even better.

* Blessing's -

I have been blessed with amazing clients, they are truly awesome. My 7 a.m this morning has kicked some butt, lost 16 pounds and tons of inches. She has changed her life style and man has she been improving in her over all fitness. I love watching her transform. I will be by her side every step of the way and I have faith on her wedding day she will look amazing. You go girl.

In between clients, my dear friend comes in with my flyers. God thank you, please bless her.

My next client came in with tears in her eyes and said to me  "I truly feel Mallery you have helped me so much, when I am around you my heart is reassured that everything in my life will be just fine". I was almost in tears and in my head I was saying thank you Lord. He gets all the glory.

I left the gym after my intense workout, LOL, thank God every day for my health...

This topped my day off seeing my Aunt and Andrew.... two wonderful people that I have missed over the past few months. My aunt will be starting her new fitness program next week, I am so proud! I look forward to helping her transform.

Andrew,  I had to give him his Holy water from the Jordan river! :)  I am so glad him and I can remain friends. He is my brother in Christ and I pray that God will bless him on his new journey.

God the father, I am blessed beyond belief and I love my family and friends. Lord, lead me and I will follow.

Long post today, the message is count every day as it was your last, count every blessing, never pass on an opportunity to grow, keep pressing forward, toward the big dream. Your past memories do not define who you are, the dreams you have in front of you will come true... Believe in you, trust in the Lord.

Amen!

Today is the Lords day

Hello everyone,

I am so filled with joy. Christmas is coming, we can celebrate the birth of our Lord. I was so emotional today at church, It is amazing to know that someone cares so much that he gave his son, so that we could have eternal life. John Nuzzo the pastor really knows how to preach th word. Amen!

I went to my first class to become a member of my church Victory and when he asked everyone are you living a Christ like life? I was so thankful to say YES, I strive to be more like him every day. The lord has broken me from many past addictions and hurts! I now want to grow and learn as much as my little brain will allow me to and .. seek his ultimate plan for my life.

We our all one family and will continue to make a difference!

Thanks for your prayers and love.

Met Fonzie from "Happy Days" today

Everyone! What a blessing today has been, thanks to a great friend I met Henry Winkler, who played Fonzie on Happy Days. He was awesome! We were waiting in line and he answered the phone, I knew right away he was speaking to his wife. I asked him "was that your wife?" he said yes. It was truly funny, I heard him saying is it the BMW or Lexus you lost the keys to? I asked him after he finished up the call and we hugged, will you adopt me??? He said YES!!!!! I was thrilled... What a great guy! He signed my mothers picture with Kim, you are great, with lots of love. I know this will make her smile.

WAIT THAT IS NOT THE BEST OF THE STORY! I went back later on to say good bye and he said OH Mal, I smiled and said YES, you remembered my name. He said you think I will ever forget your name. I then told him thank you, God Bless you and he would be in my prayers.  Let's pray he will email me, adoption papers are waiting! Life is good. Amen!
